If you're in central Southampton, take the A335 and follow the signs. If you're coming from the south west, stay on the M27 past where it merges with the M3, then leave at junction 5 and take the second exit off the roundabout towards Eastleigh. For those coming from the south east, you can also leave the M27 at junction 5. Keep to the right-hand lane on the exit slip-road, then take the third exit off the roundabout when you get to Eastleigh. Finally, if you're coming from the north, take the M3 until you see signs for the M27 and follow them until junction 5 then go through as described above. There'll be plenty of signs for the airport once you get there.

Train

If you're looking for a quick way to get around the south east and south west, Southampton Airport's train station is just what you need! It's conveniently situated just 99 steps from the main terminal, so it won't take much time or effort to reach your destination. For instance, getting from the airport to the city centre only takes seven minutes - and the journeys to Reading and London take 49 minutes and 69 minutes respectively. So why not hop on the next train and get exploring?

If you're flying in or out of Southampton Airport, you'll be able to make use of regular bus services that run to the city centre and surrounding areas. Xelabus operates the X4 service between Eastleigh and Hedge End, with stops at Southampton Airport Parkway, while Uni-link runs the U1 service which connects the airport with the University, city centre and waterfront.
