Searching for parking used to mean pulling over, unlocking your phone, typing an address with one thumb, and hoping the results made sense. It was fiddly, slow, and honestly a little dangerous if you were already on the road.
Parksy changed that. With voice search built right into the platform, finding a parking space near you is now as simple as saying what you need out loud, and letting Parksy do the rest.
Why Voice Search for Parking Just Makes Sense
Think about when you're actually looking for parking. You're in the car. You're moving. You might be running five minutes late. The last thing you want to do is type.

Voice search removes that friction entirely. Instead of navigating menus or tapping out suburb names, you just speak naturally: the same way you'd ask a friend for help. Parksy's voice search understands conversational language, so you don't need to use robotic keyword phrases. You can say something like "find me parking near the MCG this Saturday" and Parksy gets it.
It's faster, it's hands-free, and once you've used it, going back to typing feels prehistoric.
How Parksy Voice Search Works
Parksy's voice search is powered by natural language processing, which means it's designed to understand the way people actually talk, not just rigid search terms.
Here's how it works in three simple steps:
- Tap the mic icon on Parksy: Once you're logged in, the voice search button is right there on the search bar. One tap and you're ready to speak.
- Say what you're looking for: Speak naturally. Tell Parksy where you're headed, when you need parking, and any preferences, like covered parking or something within walking distance. There's no special syntax to learn.
- Browse your results instantly: Parksy processes your request and surfaces relevant listings from real people renting out their driveways, garages, and car spaces nearby. You'll see pricing, availability, distance, and photos, everything you need to make a quick decision.
The whole process takes seconds. You're back to focusing on the road (or your playlist) while Parksy handles the search.
Real Example: Emma Finds Event Parking Without the Stress
Emma is heading to a concert at Accor Stadium in Sydney on a Friday night. It's a sold-out show and she knows the surrounding streets are going to be chaos. Paid council lots will be full by 6pm, and rideshare prices surge on event nights.

A week before the concert, Emma opens Parksy on her phone and taps the mic."Find parking near Accor Stadium for Friday night, arriving around 6pm."
Within seconds, Parksy returns a list of nearby private parking spaces: driveways and garages from locals in Homebush and the surrounding suburbs who've listed their spots for event nights. Emma finds a covered driveway two streets from the stadium for $18 for the evening. She books it on the spot, gets the address and entry instructions from the space owner, and that's it. Done.
On Friday night, while other concertgoers are circling the block or paying $45 at the nearest open lot, Emma walks straight to her car after the show and drives home.
No stress. No circling. No overpriced lots.
That's the Parksy voice search experience: fast, conversational, and connected to a real community of parking providers who have exactly what you need.
